Cryo Ultrasound Therapy (USF1)
Therapy with USF1 cold ultrasound (also called cryo ultrasound therapy) is highly effective for the treatment of inflammation and pain. The anti-inflammatory action of ultrasound is associated with the analgesic, anti-edema effect of cryotherapy (cold therapy).
The mechanical factor — the micro-vibration set up by ultrasonic action in the treated tissue — combines with the action of cold, which first causes immediate vasoconstriction and then vasodilation by vasoparalysis, producing an essentially analgesic and relaxant effect. Ultrasound also accelerates the removal of toxic metabolites responsible for inflammation, and when applied with an anti-inflammatory ointment facilitates its penetration (sonophoresis). Emission can be continuous or intermittent.
