Intelect Focus Shockwave — Focused ESWT
In Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT), a wave is produced by a small explosion generated underwater inside an applicator. This wave is focused through a lens and transmitted into the tissue. The electromagnetically generated focused shockwave has high energy — around one hundred times more powerful than a radial pressure wave — making it optimum for a range of conditions in urology, orthopaedic indications, cardiology and neurology. Deep therapy regions can be treated safely and reliably, and the large focal zone provides enhanced targeting precision.
Clinical Benefits
- Activation of the healing cascade
- Enhanced blood flow
- Tissue regeneration
- Treats calcifications, stones and growths
Focused shock waves penetrate approximately 12 cm with pinpoint focus, and are preferably used in the treatment of deep target areas — enabling precise diagnosis and therapy of active and latent trigger points.
