Overview
Radiotherm is a powerful microwave therapy device built on a functional principle that has proven itself in everyday clinical practice for many years. Microwave energy is transferred to the tissue via a radiator and converted into heat, giving hospitals, doctors and physiotherapists a controlled, efficient form of deep-heat therapy.
Depending on the treatment, the clinician selects a large-area, round, trough-shaped or point-type radiator, mounted on a freely adjustable swivel arm that focuses it precisely on the body part being treated. Treatment time is set digitally from 1 to 30 minutes; at the end of the session the power switches off automatically, with a visual and acoustic signal. A constantly displayed heat-effective output power value lets the clinician adjust parameters exactly as needed.
Beyond continuous (CW) operation, Radiotherm offers a pulse function that treats deeper tissue layers while keeping thermal surface exposure low, which is why it can be used across such a broad range of clinical applications. Operation runs through a 12-inch capacitive touchscreen, with favourite settings that can be saved and exported via USB or SD card.
