Neurological rehabilitation
The platform provides space for therapists to work on controlled movement, postural alignment, muscle activation, and functional transitions. It can support treatment programmes for patients recovering from neurological injury or living with neurological conditions.
Postural control training
Patients can practise maintaining a stable position while lying, sitting, kneeling, or standing with support. Therapists may use the platform to facilitate trunk control, weight shifting, and symmetrical positioning.
Balance training
The wide surface allows patients to perform graded balance exercises in a controlled environment. Activities can be adapted from static sitting balance to dynamic reaching, turning, and supported movement.
Mobility and transfer training
The platform can be used to practise rolling, moving from lying to sitting, sitting balance, kneeling, and other transitional movements. These activities may help patients develop the skills required for bed mobility and functional transfers.
Muscle activation and strengthening
Therapists can use mat-based exercises to encourage activation of the trunk, hips, legs, shoulders, and arms. Exercises should be progressed according to the patient’s strength, coordination, fatigue level, and safety needs.
Weight-bearing activities
Supported weight-bearing exercises may be performed through the upper or lower limbs, depending on the patient’s ability and treatment goals. The therapist should provide appropriate assistance and use safety equipment where required.
Paediatric therapy
The spacious surface can support play-based movement therapy, developmental exercises, assisted crawling, balance activities, and functional motor training for children. Paediatric treatment must be supervised continuously.
