Robotic Gait & Balance Training Treadmill

AXELERO Gait & Balance is Meden-Inmed’s most advanced treadmill — built not just for motor rehabilitation and biofeedback-guided training, but for objective, quantified measurement of a patient’s gait and running parameters. It’s designed for training gait pattern disturbances and balance, giving clinicians a device that both treats and measures in the same session.

At the core of the system is a built-in posturographic plate beneath the treadmill belt, which locates the patient’s Center of Pressure (CoP) in real time and detects patient presence on the device automatically. Combined with a large 43″ real-time biofeedback display, adjustable integrated handrails, and a full software suite for data tracking and analysis, AXELERO turns everyday gait training into a measurable, repeatable clinical process.

Weight-supported training (optional)

For patients with significant gait dysfunction, the ELEVEO dynamic unloading system can be mounted above the treadmill to relieve up to 160kg of body weight during training — combining the highest safety standard with meaningful reduction in load for patients not yet ready for full weight-bearing gait training.

Safety protocol

  • Security key required to activate the device
  • Emergency stop button immediately halts training
  • Automatic "no user on treadmill" detection pauses/prevents training if the patient is not correctly positioned
  • Remote control (with dedicated emergency STOP) allows the patient to control speed and screen content directly, while the therapist can also remotely launch, stop, or observe the session in real time via the wireless tablet

Session data & progress tracking

All training sessions are logged to a patient's account via the device's wireless tablet software, allowing therapists to compare current results against any past session at any time.

Handrail setup Integrated handrails adjust across a wide range to fit both child and adult patients:

  • Handrail width: 43–69 cm
  • Handrail height: 66–94.5 cm

Set handrail width and height to match the patient's body size and support needs before beginning training, adjusting as tolerance and confidence improve across sessions.
