QMD® Helios Laser

Laser therapy provides electromagnetic energy to tissues in the form of photons, with recognised therapeutic effects. The qmd® Helios is the top of the qmd range: a high-power therapeutic laser combining 808 + 1064 + 1120nm at 24W, complete with trolley and standard kit. High-power output allows deeper penetration of energy and a more rapid, enduring effect on pain, inflammation and reparative processes.

The three wavelengths are individually controllable, enabling triple simultaneous action: one wavelength issues a super-pulsed stimulus, the second a pulsed stimulus at the target mediator frequency, and the third scans frequencies to reach all involved mediators. The 1120nm wavelength acts primarily on serotonin, dopamine (pain neurotransmitter) and P substance (muscles).
