Professional cold-ultrasound (cryoultrasound) unit for inflammation and pain. Combines ultrasound with cryotherapy down to -9.9 °C, 0.1-3.0 W/cm², continuous/pulsed emission, 7″ touchscreen, 62 mm cryo probe.
Overview
Cryoultrasound therapy with the USF1 is a highly effective therapy for the treatment of inflammation and pain. The anti-inflammatory action of ultrasound is associated with the analgesic and anti-oedema action of cryotherapy (cold therapy).
The combined effect works through a mechanical factor (ultrasonic micro-vibration of the treated tissue), a thermal factor (controlled surface temperature change promoting vascularisation and the elimination of inflammatory metabolites, with a haemostatic effect useful after trauma), the analgesic and relaxant action of cold, and a chemical factor (accelerated removal of toxic metabolites). Applying an anti-inflammatory ointment lets the ultrasound aid its penetration into the tissues via sonophoresis.
